PTO stands for Parent/Teacher Organization and the PTO automatically includes all parents/guardians of Altoona Elementary students. Monthly meetings are held to discuss the types of activities to support and enrich your child’s education.

The fall fundraiser helps fund many of the activities of the PTO including Family Learning Nights and the School Carnival. Funds are also used to purchase up-to-date technology and/or new playground equipment. Other activities of the PTO include hosting a Book Fair, creating the Yearbook, and providing Teacher Conference Meals.

We would like to extend an invitation to you to join us. Any level of involvement is welcome.  Just an hour or two of volunteering can make a big difference.
