Race/Ethnicity Data Collection:
Each year, every school district in Wisconsin is required to report staff data by race and ethnicity categories that are set by the Federal government. Accurate racial and ethnic data help us conduct research and evaluation as well as comply with state reporting requirements.
The federal government recently changed the reporting categories for race and ethnicity, and all staff members are being asked to update their information. With the new reporting categories, individuals can identify themselves as either Hispanic/Latino or not Hispanic/Latino and by one or more of the following groups: American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian, Black/African-American, Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander, White. Starting with the 2010/11 school year, all schools will also report student data to DPI using the new format and categories.
For more information about the race and ethnicity data reporting categories, please see the Race and Ethnicity Data Collection FAQ.
Please complete the following should you want to update your information.
