Administrative Assistant
Altoona Intermediate School
This is a 205 day position that follows the school calendar with three weeks of summer work spread throughout the break. The Administrative Assistant is the front face of our school, and we are looking for a student centered, flexible, and upbeat person with good communication and organizational skills to help run the main office. Candidates should be able to assist students, parents, teachers and administration by handling office tasks, providing polite and professional assistance via phone and email. They should be prepared and responsive, willing to multitask in the sometimes-chaotic environment that comes from working in the front office. Candidates should be comfortable with computers and excel at both verbal and written communication. Most importantly, they should have a genuine desire to meet the needs of the students.
AIS, a 2020 National Blue Ribbon School, is a 4th/5th grade intermediate school.
