BBBA - BOARD MEMBER QUALIFICATIONS

A person is legally qualified to become a member of the Board who is a United States citizen and a qualified voter of the school district.

In addition, it would be desirable that members of the Board have a genuine interest in, and devotion to, public education, a willingness to give time and effort to the work, a capacity for understanding people, and the ability to work cooperatively with others.

Employees of the school district are precluded from serving on the Board by reason of statute making it unlawful for a director to receive compensation or reward for services to the district.

School board members shall be electors of the school district and shall be elected at large by a plurality vote of the electors of the school district.
